Includes: Up to 18 Dives
Summary: Our best selection of adventure diving in the Coral Sea* and the Ribbon Reefs. Max out on visibility, wall diving, pelagics & sharks.
Embark: Thursday – Check in at our office (3 Abbott St, Cairns) between 8:30 am and 4:00 pm.
Disembark: Tuesday 8:00am in Cairns. Last dive is finished by 5:00pm the day before.
Details: This expedition ventures beyond the Great Barrier Reef to the crystal-clear waters and plummeting walls in the Coral Sea. Experience big fish action in superb visibility at Osprey and Bougainville Reefs. Includes an amazing Amphitheatre shark dive at Osprey Reef, recently proclaimed a shark sanctuary. The potato cod grouper at the Cod Hole are a highlight, however it is the rich biodiversity of fish species and coral that make diving the Ribbon Reefs section of the Great Barrier Reef so incredible.
*Weather permitting, we spend the expedition at our best selection of Coral Sea dive sites. Should weather force an itinerary change on any day, we select our favourite dive locations on the more protected Ribbon Reefs (within the Great Barrier Reef).
Experience: Advanced divers comfortable diving exposed walls with some current. Not suitable for children, snorkellers and novice divers.
Certification required for the Coral Sea Cod Hole Expedition is AOW or 15 ocean dives with 5 in the last 12 months.

Due to the sustained increase in fuel prices, we are no longer able to absorb these costs within our published fares. A temporary fuel surcharge of AUD $20 per person, per night will apply onboard for all departures from May 2026. This surcharge will be reviewed regularly and adjusted or removed as fuel prices stabilise.
